MyCosmetolog is a skin care app. This page explains what data we collect, why, and where we store it.
What data we collect
- Face photo — the selfie you send for skin analysis. This is biometric data and is processed only with your separate consent.
- Cosmetics photo — a jar or package photographed in “Check cosmetics”.
- Your details — name, phone, delivery address, email (optional). We only ask for them when you scan, order or book.
- Location — only when you choose an address on the map and only with your permission. Coordinates are not stored — only the address text you confirm.
- Analysis results — score, concerns found, care plan, date.
- Orders and appointments — items, date, status.
- Device key — a random identifier for password-free sign-in. It is stored in iCloud Keychain and restores your account after reinstalling the app.
Where your photos are sent
For analysis, face photos and cosmetics photos are sent to the Google Gemini AI service. Google assesses the photo and returns a text result. Google does not use data sent through the paid API to train its models.
Before a face photo is sent, we ask for your separate consent. Without consent the analysis does not work, but the rest of the app does.
Where data is stored
Our server is located in Germany (Hetzner). Only you can see your photos and results. Order and appointment details (name, phone, address, order items) are seen by the cosmetologist and shop staff who fulfil them. They see your face photos only if you share them yourself.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. The app has no ads and no tracking.
Deleting your data
Profile → “Delete all my data”. All face photos, results, orders, appointments and your account are deleted completely. This cannot be undone. A single scan can be deleted in the history.
To withdraw consent: Profile → “Withdraw consent”. After that, new scans won't work.
Children
The app is intended for users over 16.
Medical notice
The result is a visual assessment based on a photo, not a medical diagnosis. For serious skin problems, see a dermatologist.
